4 Ways to Get More Energy

Life can be tiring, you don’t need us to tell you that. Especially if you’re training for Tough Mudder and you’re squeezing in workouts around work, chores, family and friends. Our friends at Reign Body Fuel have the answers. As the official energy drink partner of Tough Mudder we asked them for their top tips on feeling more energised.

How To Get More Energy

1. Get Moving

If you’re feeling tired or drained of energy then moving more probably sounds totally counter-productive. But exercise stimulates your mind and body, boosts circulation, increases your oxygen-carrying capacity and improves the quality of your sleep. You don’t need to run for miles or do an intense HIIT workout to feel the benefits either, light exercise such as a brisk walk or light stretching is just as good when its come to blowing the cobwebs way and reenergising.

2. Eat Right

Food is fuel (among plenty of other things) so if you’re feeling sluggish it may well be what you’re eating that’s slowing you down. First of all, are you eating enough? If you’ve increased your training hours lately you might not be and that needs to change if you’re going to progress and if you want to make it through the day without dozing off.

Next up, are you eating the right things? Foods like grains, high-fibre vegetables and nuts have a low glycaemic index, which means their sugars are absorbed slowly. Check out the top twelve foods that give you an energy boost for more ideas.

3. Do Less

It sounds too simple to be true but if you’re feeling tired, you might just be doing too much. Whether that’s training too hard or simply trying to fit a thousand things into your day. The word burnout is thrown around a lot these days but fatigue is a sign you could be suffering it. Try to delegate, let a few things drop off your list and take time out to de-stress where you can.

4. Drink Reign

Sometimes nothing else will do and you just need a serious caffeine kick. Enter Reign Total Body Fuel. Which will flavour will tickle your taste buds; will it be Melon Mania – The refreshing taste of sweet, juicy watermelon gone wild? Could it be Razzle Berry – The bright bubbly burst if berry without the blue tongue stain? Looking for something less sweet, then how about Sour Apple – Just like a good workout: sour and sweet at the same time.
